Soberr is made by WarmDoor Health LLC. This policy explains what data Soberr collects, how it's used, and your choices.
Soberr was built so that your recovery data stays on your device. We don't sell your data, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't share it with anyone unless this policy says otherwise.
The following is stored locally on your phone, and nowhere else — with the specific exceptions described in Sponsor Check-ins, Sponsor Messages, and Web Testing Version below:
None of this is transmitted to us, sold, or shared with third parties. If you delete the app, this data is gone unless you've saved a backup yourself (Settings → Export a backup), which you can restore on a new phone from the Welcome back screen.
Once someone you invite as a sponsor accepts, Soberr sends your current sober-days count and your name to our server and stores them with your invite. Sponsors do not have a dashboard yet; this information is kept for that purpose. This only happens for a sponsor who has explicitly accepted your invite, and it's limited to your name and sober-days count — never your journal, mood, check-in history, or which categories you track. It's never used for advertising, never sold, and never shared beyond that accepted sponsor.
If you send a message to your sponsor from the Connect tab, the message text — along with your current wellness score and streak, which are included automatically so your sponsor has context — is sent to our server and stored so your sponsor can view it. This only happens when you choose to send a message; nothing is sent unless you tap send, and it's never used for advertising, never sold, and never shared beyond that accepted sponsor.
If you turn on the daily check-in reminder, Soberr schedules a local notification on your phone at the time you choose. It is created and delivered by your device. We do not receive your reminder time, and nothing about it is sent to our servers. You can turn it off in Settings or in iOS Settings at any time.
When you log an urge (what it was for, how strong it was, what set it off and how it ended), that entry is stored only on your device. It is never sent to us, is not used to calculate your score or points, and is included only in a backup you choose to export.
Settings → Export a backup creates a copy of your data that you can save or share. It is not encrypted and includes your private notes and reflections, so store it safely. To remove everything, use Settings → Delete all my data: it erases your progress, history and PIN from your phone and asks our server to remove your sponsor invite.
Soberr uses Sentry, a third-party crash-reporting service, to help us catch and fix bugs. If the app crashes or hits an error, technical details — device type, OS version, and a stack trace of what the app was doing — are sent to Sentry. We don't send your name, email, or any of your recovery data as part of this, and it's never used for advertising or anything beyond stability monitoring. See Sentry's privacy policy for how they process this data.
If you connect Apple Health, Soberr reads (never writes) the following, only to calculate your Body, Mind, and Resilience scores: steps, active energy, and workouts; sleep analysis; heart rate variability (HRV); and Mindful Minutes.
This data is processed on your device and is never transmitted off it, never used for advertising, and never sold. You can revoke access any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health, and Soberr continues to work normally without it — HealthKit is an enhancement, not a requirement.
Subscriptions are processed by Apple, Google, or our subscription platform, RevenueCat. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but not your payment details — those are handled entirely by Apple/Google's payment systems. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for how they process this data.
Posts you share in Connect are shown under an alias you choose (or "Anonymous" by default) — never your real name.
The web version of Soberr, used for testing, has an opt-in feature: entering your email on the welcome screen syncs your app data so you can resume on another browser. This is entirely opt-in, only active on the web testing build (never in the iOS/Android app), and used solely to let testers resume their session. To have this data deleted, contact us below.
Soberr is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect data from, anyone under 18. Given the Adult Content tracking category and Connect's user-generated content, the app is age-rated accordingly on the App Store and Google Play.
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date above and, where required, notify you in the app.
