These terms govern your use of Soberr, made by WarmDoor Health LLC. By using Soberr, you agree to them.
Soberr is a self-tracking and accountability tool. It is not a substitute for professional medical care, addiction treatment, therapy, or a 12-step program. Soberr does not diagnose, treat, or provide medical advice. If you are in crisis, experiencing withdrawal symptoms, or having thoughts of self-harm, contact a medical professional or emergency services immediately — do not rely on this app.
If you're in the US: SAMHSA's National Helpline is 1-800-662-4357, available 24/7.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Soberr, in part because one of its optional tracking categories (Adult Content) addresses sensitive material and because Connect (see below) includes user-generated content.
Soberr doesn't require a traditional account — your data lives on your device, protected by a PIN you set. You're responsible for keeping your device and PIN secure. We cannot recover your PIN or your data if you lose your device without a backup. You can save a backup yourself at any time (Settings → Export a backup) and restore it on a new phone, and you can erase your data at any time (Settings → Delete all my data). Backups are not encrypted and include your private notes, so keep them safe.
Soberr links to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988 in the US and Canada) and to SAMHSA's National Helpline. These are third-party services we don't operate. Stopping some substances suddenly can be medically dangerous; talk to a doctor or pharmacist first. Soberr does not give medical advice.
Connect lets you share reflections and receive encouragement from others, under an alias. Don't share identifying information about yourself or others, don't post content that harasses or targets another person, and don't use it to solicit other users.
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. That includes hate speech, harassment, threats, sexual content involving minors, and content that promotes self-harm to others. You can report any post directly in the app, and reported content is hidden from your feed immediately. We review every report and act on it — removing the content and, where warranted, ejecting the user who posted it — within 24 hours. You can also block another user's posts at any time, and you can delete your own posts immediately, whenever you want.
To report a concern that isn't tied to a specific post, use "Report a Concern" in the Connect tab, or email team@warmdoorhealth.com. We may remove content or restrict access for violations of these terms.
Some perks in the app may link to third-party offers or local business partnerships. We aren't responsible for the terms, availability, or fulfillment of third-party offers — that's between you and the partner.
Soberr is provided "as is." We don't guarantee the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that it will produce any particular outcome for your recovery, moderation, or wellness goals. Scores, trends, and insights are informational, not clinical.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WarmDoor Health LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Soberr. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (or $0 if you used the free tier only).
We may update these terms as the app evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. Material changes will be flagged in the app.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
